A Powerful Prayer

"For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light." {Colossians 1:9-12 NASB 1995}

Write the bullet points down. Make this into a personalized prayer. And pray through the checklist.

• Knowledge of Your will with spiritual wisdom and understanding.
• Walk in a manner worthy of You.
• Pleasing You in all respects.
• Bear fruit in good works.
• Increase in the knowledge of God.
• Strengthened with all power, according to Your glorious might.
• Steadfast, patient, joyful and thankful.

Example: Dear Lord: I pray for everyone I've ever prayed for before and everyone who has ever prayed for me. I pray for everyone I've ever helped or tried to help and everyone who has ever helped me or tried to help me and myself as well. I pray that we might be filled with the knowledge of Your will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding; that we might walk in a manner worthy of You, pleasing You in all respects; that we might bear fruit in good works; that we might increase in the knowledge of God; that we might be strengthened will all power according to Your glorious might; that we might be steadfast, patient, joyful, thankful and successful and that all of us and our families might be saved. I pray that you will give us the things that we need and the desires of our hearts.

As you might have noticed, I've added a few items.

I like to use this prayer, daily, in addition to specific prayer requests for myself and others.

The important thing to remember about the Colossians Scripture is that this is God's will for everyone. And God promises to answer prayers that are in accordance with His will.
