Getting Rid of Anger—Part 6"Do all things without complaining" {Hebrews 2:14 NKJV} "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NASB)." "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 NIV)." I was struggling to forgive someone, but, however hard I tried, I was unsuccessful. I was not able to break free. Right before trying to forgive, I said something like this, out loud, to God: "God, why did you let this happen to me?" I was angry at God—and I was complaining. Complaining is a sin in and of itself. It is a separate sin that also needs to be dealt with. The anxiety I was experiencing was primarily the result of the sin of complaining; Satan had a spiritual foothold, primarily, as a result of this sin. I figured this out fairly quickly—and I prayed something like this: "Lord, I ask forgiveness for the sin of complaining." Once I confessed this sin to God, I was able to also forgive the person who had wronged me and break free. “Do all things without complaining . . . (Hebrews 2:14 NKJV).” Something to keep in mind.
