Stopping Spiritual Attacks—Part ThreePart Three involves the use of affirmations and prayer-affirmations, based on Scripture. Affirmations based on Scripture: "For 'who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?' But we have the mind of Christ." {1 Corinthians 2:16 NKJV} Affirmation: I have the 'mind of Christ.' "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might." {Ephesians 6:10 NASB} Affirmation: I am 'strong in the Lord.' "Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord." {Romans 6:11 NKJV} Affirmation: I'm dead to sin. I'm alive to God. Using these affirmations will strengthen your ability to trust God and obey God. Prayer affirmations: Prayer affirmations are prayers combined with affirmations based on Scripture. I have used these, successfully, to break free of anxiety footholds. They can, undoubtably, be used with other issues as well. Examples follow. I am strong in the Lord. I demolish this foothold with Your strength. It is gone. In Jesus' name. {Ephesians 6:10} I thank you, Lord, that I have the shield of faith with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. {Ephesians 6:16} You don't have to say anything more. I think you'll be surprised how effective these can be. Write down everything above that is bolded. And practice using affirmations and prayer affirmations. A link to Part 4 is below. |
