How Does Salvation Occur? In order to become saved, you must believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and accept the free gift of salvation that He offers. This is something anyone can do. “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” {Acts 16:31 NASB} "I (Jesus) tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me (God) has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." {John 5:24 NIV} It is God's will for everyone to become saved. Consider the following Scripture: "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." {1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV} Jesus stated: “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on my own authority." {John 7:16 NIV} Don't worry if you still have some doubts. This is to be expected. Once you become saved, your faith will grow as you gain experience in using God's word. Don't wait to clean up your life before getting saved. That won't work! Get saved now and God will help you to deal with sin. Salvation is a privilege. Don't miss out! A link to the next topic is below. |
